Frequently Asked Questions
There are lots of resources giving parents strategies to help their little ones… but it can be hard to figure out where to start, what to prioritize, and how to use these strategies EFFECTIVELY in a way that works for YOUR family. That’s where we come in!
The programs are designed for parents of little ones up to the age of 3, however the strategies can absolutely be used with a slightly older child. If your child is past the toddler years and still having difficulty with speech and feeding skills, it would be beneficial to contact a speech pathologist in your area.
Absolutely! The programs help you learn how to incorporate strategies and techniques into your daily routines, so even if you are not home with your child all day you will learn to support your child’s skills during ANY activity! You can also guide your child’s caregivers to help practice techniques as well!
Bilingualism does NOT cause a speech and language delay! I encourage you to continue using both languages with your child. The Little Talkers Little Eaters programs are only available in English at this time.
Our services are NOT speech therapy, because they are not direct contact with your child. All courses, as well as face-to-face video calls and 1:1 support, are not speech therapy and should not be considered a replacement for speech therapy services.
Call a speech-language pathologist in your area. Any information in our courses is only for educational purposes and is not a comprehensive evaluation of your child’s speech or feeding skills.
- Speech/language delays can be related to hearing loss, chronic ear infections, medical complications, fine or gross motor weakness, developmental delays, family history, and others.
The Little Talkers Program was designed for typically developing children without any cognitive, motor, or social diagnoses. If your child has a hearing loss, developmental delay, or significant medical history, PLEASE contact us before signing up for any available program so we can determine if it would be a good fit.
LIMITED therapy spots are available for virtual therapy services, however therapy can only be provided to current residents of New York. Contact us to see if there are current schedule openings and for more information.
